What devices is 3DPlayer designed for? +
3DPlayer is designed for Android TV and Google TV devices. 3D playback depends on compatible hardware and displays.
3DPlayer has been tested with NVIDIA SHIELD, Google TV Streamer 4K, Homatics Box R 4K Plus, and 4K onn-branded streamers.
Please use the available free trial to confirm compatibility with your device. If your device does not support Full Resolution 3D output, please submit a bug report from within the app.
What formats can I play MVC 3D in? +
MVC 3D is decoded into Side by Side or Top and Bottom video. On compatible devices, output is Full Resolution. Frame-packed output is not supported.
Can I play 2D, too? +
Yes. 3DPlayer is also a full-featured 2D video player.
Can 3DPlayer automatically detect a video's aspect ratio? +
Yes. Depending on the video, aspect ratio detection may range from 0 to 22 seconds.
Can 3DPlayer shrink a video to fit a Constant Image Height (CIH) projector screen? +
Yes. In 2D and 3D, a video can be resized to fit the height of your screen's aspect ratio.
How does 3DPlayer handle videos with a variable aspect ratio for screens with an aspect ratio wider than 16:9? +
Depending on the video, resizing will follow the aspect ratio change either instantly or within 2 seconds. Content will never be cropped nor displayed outside the frame of your screen, unless this setting is disabled.
Does 3DPlayer support Dolby Vision? +
Yes. 3DPlayer supports Profiles 5 and 8.1. Profile 7 can be played through on-the-fly conversion to Profile 8.1.
Can 3DPlayer display Dolby Vision Profile 7 FEL content? +
No. The enhancement layer will be discarded during conversion to Profile 8.1.
Can 3DPlayer pass through lossless audio to my receiver or soundbar? +
Yes. 3DPlayer supports lossless audio passthrough with compatible hardware.
Does 3DPlayer support two subtitle tracks? +
Yes. 3DPlayer can show a second subtitle track alongside the main subtitle track.
Can 3DPlayer move subtitles into or out of the picture? +
Yes. 3DPlayer can automatically move subtitles into the picture or out of the picture, depending on your preference.
Can 3DPlayer display styled (SSA/ASS) subtitles? +
Yes. In addition to SRT and PGS subtitle formats, 3DPlayer supports playback of ASS subtitles with full styling.
